TOMBO

I have created this artwork by assembling various layers of dried ink.

The choice of this particular subject is due to its meaning: perhaps the oldest design in Japan, dragonflies are called tombo as well as katsumushi ('victory insect'). They are symbol for the samurai and represent to never give up, as the dragonfly can only fly forwards.
